Katherine Reads

I love books, mostly young adult!

Shadow and Bone - Leigh Bardugo When I first started this book, I knew it was something special because of what [a:Veronica Roth|4039811|Veronica Roth|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1325270235p2/4039811.jpg] said about it on the cover. However, I couldn't figure out what all the different levels and places were. A hint for that is to NOT skip the map and the order of the Grisha (it helps soo much). Around chapter 3 is when I found that I could not stop reading this book. I love the palace and all her friends and people she trains with. Mal is one of my favorite guy characters in a book ever!! I am so excited for the 2nd book, which I cannot wait to read but it comes out next year :(. I think that the Russian elements in the book were good and descriptive, except the part about the keftas was confusing. This is what they look like in case you are wondering: If you are wondering if this is worth the read, it totally is! Read it and you will not be disappointed! If you like [b:The Hunger Games|2767052|The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1)|Suzanne Collins|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1337857402s/2767052.jpg|2792775] or books like it, I think that this will be a great book for you. This has elements of fantasy and mystery, plus the characters are amazing.
